Website migration & redesign with public marketing pages and a private client portal.
JWJ Consulting is a Chicago-based career services and executive coaching practice with over 15 years of experience transforming clients’ professional lives.
Overview:
Migrate website content to a new platform.
Establish a consistent, professional tone across the site with clear language and curated images.
Highlight specific offerings and build a robust client portal with an online library, booking capability, and internal correspondence features.
Goals:
Websites cost money. Business management systems cost money. So, when your business management system launches a website builder for no additional cost, you use it, right?
Right.
That’s how I ended up completing a migration & redesign for JWJ Consulting, and it was so successful that I eventually had to remove CTAs from the site. So many people filled out the public page contact forms that Jessica of JWJ Consulting had to “close her books” (to borrow the language of popular tattoo artists). Attracting new clients had only been a minor goal for JWJ Consulting, anyway, since Jessica mostly wanted her site to function as:
1.) a resource for existing clients, and
2.) the destination where referrals could conduct research before scheduling their first appointments.
The skillful use of visual metaphor was one of Jessica’s most pressing concerns since she offers an impressive number of services that often require explanation. Thus, it was with great joy that I curated images that appropriately conveyed the complex ideas behind what Jessica offers as a coach. Through the site’s private client portal, coachees can schedule appointments, correspond with Jessica, and peruse a seemingly endless library of hand-picked, regularly updated resources. On the public side, new referrals and colleagues can learn about the various services Jessica provides, from Career Assessment and Planning to Executive Coaching and Leadership Development. We continue to work together, and the keen user will watch out for a refreshed version of her website by the end of 2024!
